Success Happy

Since ants only live 90 days or so, how did Ant Farms get so successful?

How did the 'farms' stay viable? (I never owned one)

  1. it was a dumb kind of pet for kids to have. it is kind of cheep too.
  2. its cheap u can fidn them anywhere they're real easy to take care of all you have to do is check up on their food and water and not even that often
  3. I don't think viability was an issue, as the type of kids who had ant farms were also the kind of kids who were into a new fad every month.
  4. You have a queen ant, (You have to send away for her,) and she produces babies. The babies grow up, there's more babies to replace them, the circle of life continues. We had one when I was in high school, and it was like a self-contained little ant universe in there. :)
  5. Because people, especially children, have short attention spans.
