What are some tips to becoming a successful model?

I am around the age of 16 and have decided I want to become a model. When I mean that I mean I want to become successful like Heidi Klum and Giselle Bundchen. Can you give me some tips on how to become successful and what the fashion industry looks for? You help is greatly appriciated. I have the height. I am 5'11.

but do you have to look i was a model when i was younger like 11, but now i'm too short, and i kills me because thast what i love to do , i had the look ,and a contract with ford models. you just have to be presistant.
Well you need to go to some agencies, then make a portfolio, then try signing up with an agency with a rep for making huge stars, like Ford. Also, if you want to be an international supermodel like Giselle or Heidi, that's probably going to be harder, considering those are the models that people recognize for looking unique. Look up famous international models like Alek Wek and Adriana Lima, and you'll know what I mean about unique.
First work on your walk and your style. Second work on you hair and make up. Work on your photos because they are really important to work on. Keep a portfoilo of all of your head shots and full body shots. keep your clothes in matching order or do a mix and match type of thing. Stye in School!!
