How Do I Have a Super Successful Yard Sale?

I'm planning a yard sale this summer, and I need step-by-step instructions on how to make it as successful and lucrative as possible, from planning to executing the sale. Your help is greatly appreciated!

1. 1. Pick and date, also have a rain date if necessary 2. Check with your town official, you may need a permit. 3. Designate an area where you can store items prior to sale. 4. Items should be clean and clearly marked. 5. Decide how many tables you will need. 6. Write up an ad for local newspaper and place at least 1 week prior to your sale and again the weekend of your sale. Be sure ad states"No early callers" 7. Print up signs, Large, clear printing All printed matter should have date, hours of sale and address 8. Have enough coins and singles to make change. 9. You need to set up the day or as early as you can the day of sale. 10. Arrange with a relative or friend to assist you at some point in the day. Just so you can go in the house and relax a bit.
2. It is all in the preperation! Have everything super organized, ticketed, and advertise well! Parking is a huge factor too.
