Success Happy

A happy face is the solution for bad mood?

I had a weird question.Actually, first I will narrate an incident.Once,I had a very bad mood.I think it was the worst mood I've ever had.But then, spontaneously,I drew a stupidly happy smiling face on a scrap paper.Just two eyes and a stupid smile. At first I smiled. Then I laughed. Then I couldn't breathe from laughing :D And the question is:Why did I end laughing like a maniac though I was in my worst moodies? How did that stupid smiley affect my psychology?

  2. well smiling and/or laughing is a selfdefense mechanism so you wont hurt as much. So thats what happened. You were feeling so bad...you wanted to fix it subconsciously. this happened to me on stage when I was nerovus..i STARTED GIGGLING =/
  3. okay no when you say "how did that stupid smiley affect my psychology": its not YOUR psychology. its just your mood. thats actually really random i think you were just in such a bad mood that the smiley made your day and was unbelieveably funny.
  4. It sounds like you were delirious or something. Sometimes when I have had so many things go wrong the irony of it makes me laugh uncontrollably, i feel delirious. I think it might be something the stress does to you.
  5. it also happens the other way around too , when you are depressed and you start hearing depressing songs , you will eventually become more depressed! but as many people dont try what you did ! it is a surprise when it happens , what you have to remember is that we humans make happiness our natural state , all negative emotions feelings besides from telling us we should let go , they are just visiting states that went back home when you showed them the smiley face!
  6. The brain has a feedback loop with facial expression and emotion. Studies have shown that if a person who is in a bad mood uses those muscles are associated with smiling, their mood will shift to a more positive one. The brain also has a system of mirror neurons which can become active when you see a smile on another person's face. The neurons within your brain that correlate to smiling will also active, as if you were the one who was smiling. These system of neurons allow us to feel the mood of other people. A smile from another person's face can also lift one's mood.
