Does anyone know the history of Ebay and how it came to be such a big success?

A) How was it founded? B) What was it like working for Ebay 10 years ago? C) Who is the head of Ebay and how did he help make the company so popular? D) What were the changes of the policies and complay rules that helped served in making a profitable business? Like: What were the effective marketing strategies they used? For the record, Yes this is part of my English assignment that I'm struggling with and thanks for all who helps. I need like 10 different sources, not just wikipedia.

1. I believe it was founded by a guy who wanted to sell his Pez dispensers but that may be urban legend. I graduated school a while ago so you're on your own.
