  1. If you're sad for a certain reason, go ahead and talk to someone about why you are sad (even if it's almost a stranger). Same thing if you are worrying about something or can't get something out of your head. Do you have a favorite pet or just a favorite something to do? Try thinking about that- I always think of kittens and it makes me at least a little happier. Exercise- it releases endorphins which makes you happy and it's healthy-- I'm too lazy to do that but hey maybe you aren't. Play a game, read and HAPPY book, watch a HAPPY movie. Best happy movie (for me)- Shrek... the first one not the second (I haven't seen the third). Basically little kid/cartoon movies are good. They get your mind off stuff and they make you laugh. Go out with your friends or family- but make sure they aren't the kind of people that bring you down. Don't talk to people that make you feel bad or create drama.... it's just not good.
  2. Megan is right, i think i will also follow her advise. I was going to tell you to do things like read or watch a movie, excersice and do not go binge eating or drinking. that way, i think, at least if it doesnt make you feel better you will look better. Patience, this too shall pass.
  3. A tough question but simple to answer. The secret is to forget about trying to make yourself happy, and instead make other people happy. Your family and friends first of course. But really, everybody in the world. Only then will you be truly free of anxiety and depression. If you can make just one other person happy, or relieve their suffering, your life will be a resounding success! And this is always possible for you, every day. The big secret truth is this: It is easy to make others happy, it is impossible to make only yourself happy. Think you can't help others? Even a single kind word can lift someone's spirits and make them happy. In WWII concentration camps, some prisoners shared their small rations of food with others, even though it meant certain death by starvation themselves. And survivors tell that in the midst of all that horror, other prisoners sang joyful songs to make everyone feel better.
  4. sounds like you think too much alex. theres no room in your brain for good thoughts because all your doing is putting bad ones in. i think you do have depression and should probably see a doctor but you might want to try something else first. st johns wort. i take 21st century brand. i take 2 at 1 time once a day.. it helps quiet your brain down. this was the first thing i noticed. finally some silence . then i had room too recieve good feedback from nyself and others. im more relaxed around others and i have more energy because the weight of the stress is gone. also i found that i was able to fall asleep better and sleep through the night. try this and e mail me and let me know how it works.
