How to increase the amount of happy chemicals in the brain?

Is it possible to increase the happy chemicals being produced in your brain for a long time effect instead of a short term, like chocolate does for example. Give me any tips, sites, information that's easily understood. NO DRUGS PLEASE!

  1. hey I lost lots of weight on the elyptical at the gym. What keeps me going back is the release of endorphines at the end of the hour. When that happens, you have natural happy pills, and Nothing can piss you off!
  2. I have no idea....other than a never-ending supply of drugs? But that would suck financially and when you pass the probably inevitable point of overdose.

  4. YES! What Shawna said is 100% true. I started going to the gym for about an hour about a month ago, I actually just came back from there. But yeah, the endorphins that you release make you feel great. And like Shawna said, nothing can piss you off. I've noticed that in the past month I've been getting less annoyed by the things my bf or anyone else would do that usually get to me. You're just kinda like ehh whatever. It's awesome.
