How do i make my Ball python happy?

I just got my first snake ( a ball python) Betsi and i was wandering what should i do in order to make it happy and so that i can have a good growth and over all happy snake.

1. congratulations! feed it once a week the proper sized mouse depending on the snakes age and size. Make sure the temperture is correct, around 84-88 degrees and keep a heating pad on the bottom. For the heating pad tho, make sure the cage bottom is not touching anything where the heating pad is to lower fire risk. Excercise her a few times a week let her crawl around around you or keeping a VERY eye on her. Unless she is shedding in which case its best to leave her alone in her cage. Make sure her water is always fresh also. and if you havent already provide a log hut for her to lie under, they like that quite a bit. Enjoy her!
2. congrats :) make sure that u leave her alone for a week so that she can get used to her new place... u can also fill up her tank so that its nice and stuffy and cover all 3 sides of the tank ... fill it with fake plants and leaves so she will feel secure also make sure that u have an under the tank heater along with 2 hides and a water bowl.. make sure that one side of the tank is the cool side ( 80-85) and the other should be its warm side ( 90-92) also make sure that u have a thermo/hygrometer.. u can pick one up at wal-mart for like 12$ this will help u keep track of both the warm side temps and the cool side... and make sure that the humidity is around 50% always and bump it up to around 70 when they are in shed... good luck !
