happy birthday?

Hi... I would just like to ask if somebody knows the notes of Happy Birthday on violin. My niece is learning how to play the violin and she is using the G D A E string. So can someone give the notes...Thank you. Can someone give an easier version...the one which shows what string to be use(G D A E strings) My niece is just a beginner and she still doesn't know how to read notes. Thank you...

  1. GG A G C B......... GG A G D C......... GG high G E C B A....... FF E C D C..... Sorry, I'm not a violin player - jus thought the notes might help you! Hope someone else can help!
  2. The notes will help only if she can play them. Is she only playing open strings, or does she know where to put her fingers yet? Different teachers start on different strings. The methods I use generally start the students on their D string notes, then the A string, the E string and finally the G string. So, here are the notes if you play it in D: DDEDGF# DDEDAG DD(octave up)D B GG F# E CC (Natural) BGAG If she is just beginning, she won't know how to play C natural yet. "Happy Birthday" may be too difficult for her unless she knows all the notes on the D and A string Another suggestion: if she is using a certain book for lessons, look through it and see if "happy birthday" is in there. If not, perhaps her teacher can show her how.
