Why not buy a cake and sing Happy Birthday to Jesus?

Why are we buying and giving others Christmas presents When it is Jesus' birthday? When we have our birthdays, we buy a cake, put candles on them and sing happy birthday and give a birthday gift or two. Why not buy a cake and sing Happy Birthday to Jesus? After all its His birthday.

2. Good question and idea. I am going to do that! We are having Christmas at my house so I think I will start a new tradition. Thanks for the idea! Sidenote: My grandmother died the day before Thankgiving so it will be a hard one for us all this year. Maybe that will help the kids out - knowing that NANA gets to celebrate Jesus' birthday with him in Heaven and we can celebrate it too.
3. Your given reasons are true. But Remember this occasion is not comparable to anybodys birth date.. Thats why we have the word status. It differentiate things from others . This is the birth of the Infant Jesus the saviour and most of the christian world is celebrating. Imagine if your wish will be true and everybody will bring cake where in hell will you put all the cakes.Where will you find the celebrant? This is a christian tradition my friend. Your suggestion is well taken and pls keep it by yourself. Sometimes ask something that is worth to ask and worth to suggest. 5. Actually, my family does that. We make the cake though. We've been oing this since I could remember, and it definitly helps me focus on the real reason we even celebrate christmas. and instead of buying jesus a gift, we usually do operation christmas child. These are so much fun.
