- I will never forget the words I read on a card of sentiment at the funeral of a very dear friend. "Death is not the final sleep It is the first awakening". That pretty well sums it for me.
- spending each day in a contented way makes you sleep well. spending your life in the same manner takes you to your death knowing you are fulfilled. problem is a industrial society with electronic gadgets does not allow quality family time anymore. kids are driven by the media and associated things. if you have a farm life and are away from the many distractions it is a tough life but also a more rewarding life.
- Means that when you have a good day you sleep well so a life lived well will bring a peaceful death knowing you have lived well for it well ya if you had a good life on your death bed your going to feel fulfilled and not have regrets. Against it well how many people don't have at least one regret of some kind.
- Just as a day well spent leads to a peaceful night, so a life well spent leads to a peaceful passing. As ye live, so shall ye die. I suppose that despite all your peaceful nights' you could easily be killed on the road thus not dying serenely in bed. You could also be tortured and shot by a maniac; hardly a happy passing. The final arguement against it would be that you have no way of ensuring that you are going to die naturally. Perhaps do Vinci should have modified his opinion to include all possibilities.
