Do you believe that Tony Robbins programs work?
There are so many self improvement programs. I understand the key to any improvements to anyone's life is balance and discipline. But do you feel his program is among the top ten around for motivating change for the better in ones life. Please do not use faith based resources for this question.

- No, he's full of rubbish. Though I have had many people tell me I look like him... go figure...
- he does have some ideas that might be good in theory and perhaps even in practice, but he has some other really twisted ideas. any person who believes that the solution to marital problems is to throw water in the wife's face if she cries about them, or the cure for manic-depression is simply to smile, or the way to win the lottery is to write it down as a goal and then act as if you've already won needs a reality check.
- Yes, indeed! They surely work if you WORK them! Let people who tried Tony's programs and earnestly followed them with passion consider themselves eligible to speak out here. I have been a believer in Self-improvement for over a decade. Tony's programs are among the top ten I know of, for sure, though I may not know them all.
- This question is miscategorized. Special Education refers to the education and parenting of children with special needs.
- I love Tony's books, Audiobooks, videos, etc... He is very motivating. HOWEVER, like everyone else in that business, he wants/needs to make a profit. He's not a church, he's a business... always keep that in mind. We'll talk about it later. Read his Personal Power book, it's great, if you can read a book that thick (I don't have the time or energy to finish a book that thick anymore these days.) (I'll talk about Motivation later). I've read both nearly ten years ago. It was difficult to make the time. I probably read it twice because I would go back and re-read and re-learn some of the chapters. There is a TON of great info in that book. And more great stuff in his Unleash the Power book. Of course some of it is fluff and debateable. As long as you have the motivation to sit and read it cover to cover, I think you will find a lot of usefull info inside. Some of it you already know and use, you just don't realize it. 90% of us don't have the motivation to sit, read and absorb that information. We would rather watch a movie. If I told you the secrets of the world were in that book, would you read it? Cover to cover? No. I've given those books to people I cared for and people who could truly gain from the knowledge in those books. Did they read it? No. One of the things Tony talks about, is the reason he is so successfull. Putting effort into something is the leaverage you need to see it through. If he charges $100 to coach someone through a problem, Will that person follow that $100 worth of advice? No... If a person spends $10,000 on his advice, is that person committed to making a change? Probably yes... I no longer give out those books to people. The people I give those books to have no drive to read them. Now back to the business side of Tony. I wish he was still independent and didn't create all his corporations. He now has a large population of employees/stock holders to support. They want to see a profit. If you go to them, they will want to sell you something and something else, and something else, etc... I no longer buy direct. There is plenty of his stuff on eBay, used book stores, garage sales. It has excellent prices, HOWEVER, by getting his books, tapes and videos at a discount, you now decrease the "Leverage" you will need, the incentive you will need to take the time, sit down, and read, learn and make that change in your life. Remember the guy that spent $10,000 on coaching. I bet he listened to his every word, took notes, and made a change in his life. Now the guy who got the book for $4, do you think he read it? Cover to cover? No. Don't be that guy or girl who doesn't have any motivation to see it through. I have seen it through and I continue on the journey. He doesn't teach you everything. The meaning of life is not in his books, but some really good info to help you through life is in there, only if you have the determination to read a book. Do you?
