What is the most challenging thing about understanding how to make websites successful for your business?

Many companies tell what you need to do to make a website successful in getting traffic, and high search engine rankings. 1. to everyone: the goverment is going to offer us magick after they prove that god exists but you must not give in!!!
  2. The most important thing is simplicity. A visitor to the website must be able to navigate easily all over the site. One more important thing is originality. You don't need a site that is ordinary, typical or, God forbid, boring. Use brainstorming methods to come up with unusual ideas. Ask a group of children to help you out - they are very Internet-savvy and can come up with unusual ideas. .
  3. Yes, it is very confusing to make sure that your website gets the high traffic especially with hundreds of millions of websites. Here are my suggestions: 1. You website's name has to be something that is easy to remember. 2. Your website has to allow people to purchase your products or sevices online. 3. Your website has to be easy to navigate. I know that a lot of people have high speed internet access but you also need to consider those people who are still on dial up or on slower internet speed. 4. Your website has to be published with the most popular keyword searches on the popular search engines such as Google or Yahoo. The key words have to be related to what you are selling though otherwise people will lose trust on the website. 5. If you are not a professional in making an attrative website then hire a professional to do it. Also make sure that they will maintain it for you. They will charge you monthly fee but I think it's worth it. Make sure that they are credible. 6. You need to put full contact information on the website such as the company's name, the address, phone number, fax number, email address, etc. Make sure you check your emails diligently to answer any questions and/or request from your customers or potential customers. 7. If you have extra money then you can make donation to different charities where they can publish your website address on their newsletter. Those are just some of the things that you can try. Good luck!
  4. Understanding it is easy, raising the amounts of lots of money you will need is another! There are are a lot of con men on the Internet who tell you what you want to hear, to get the money out of your bank account, knowing full well that you aren't going to make a dime in return. Their strategy is to get you to trust them and eventually get you into their confidence that's the trick. Example they will offer you FREE stuff, but the free is never free in the long run. It's a jungle out there so watch out for the Boa-constrictors.
  5. That is a very good question! The most challenging aspect that 99% of web designers still get wrong is that they should design sites for users first, search engines second and their clients third. Users first because no matter how good the client thinks a website is if most users don't love it then they will not use it. Search engines second because no matter how good the client thinks a website is if it does not have high visibility in the search engines then there will be less visitors (users). The client third because they are paying for it :) So as a web designer you have to stop your client wanting to do stupid things and the only way to do that is be an expert on usability and search engine optimization. Not easy :)
