Is it possible to start up a successful reptile business in Canada and make $40,000+? or breading rodents?

Me and my wife are thinking of breading snakes and rodents for a living but how hard is it to be success as a full time job? Could this support a family? My wife is very smart when it comes to reptiles.

1. Yes. It is most definitely possible. If I listen well to what you're saying I even believe you should do this no matter what, since it sounds like you would truly love to do this. However! It is going to be very, very hard. Starting a business is a very tough undertaking. Whatever you do, under no circumstances let the business endanger the health or well-being of your family. After that, starting a business is a very personal undertaking. It depends on how much money you have saved, how good you are with money already, how well you can sell and negotiate, whether you're a good bookkeeper. I suggest you get a lot of advice concerning this business, and I'm not talking about a few good friends, I'm talking about contacting dozens of other reptile businesses, business consultants, store owners and everyone else who's willing to discuss your business. And remember, the most expensive advice is free advice! So get some professional help first. It will be the best investment you'll ever make; trust me, I've tried to do it without professional advice once and I'm still paying off my debt.
