Why are Americans allergic to woman candidate for presidency when several strong women elected else where?
It is generally being observed that several participants of the Yahoo ! Answers site have strong reservations for Ms Clinton more as a woman than any other demerits. It fails reason to find that in an evolved democracy with people having more liberal attitudes have strong objections for Clinton as a woman. Several women have been elected as Chief executives of their countries and established as very successful persons. Margaret Thatcher ( Britain ) , Golda Meier ( Israel ), Indira Gandhi (India ), Sirimavo Bandar Naike & Chandrika Kumaratunga(both Sri Lanka),Corazano Acqino ( Phillipines ), Isbela Peron ( Argentina) etc ; definitely not to lose site the present Chancellor of the United Germany. Americans have to come over discriminating several sections as Blacks, Hispanics, coloured, Women etc. If not Hillary Clinton now, which other woman would they endorse for the next election? If never, then some thing is very wrong some where and it's time for serious thinking is given . Please let the voters and the country, if not the world, know the short comings There is a strong negativity ingrained in American youth( probably) about Clinton and when it comes to detailing the details not much supporting information is forth coming. People seem to have been over carried by the reporting of some sections of media. Youth!! Please feel important and act timely to elect the right person into the powerful position who has the intellect, wisdom, experience and conviction to do justice to the office of American President.

- Americans have observed what you, apparently have not: Each of the women you mentioned was a terrible leader.
- I would have no problem voting for a woman for president, but not Hillary Clinton. I did vote for a woman for Congress, but she is much better than Hillary. If Margaret Thatcher was born in America, I might vote her.
- I do not support Hillary Clinton; it is not because she is a woman. I do not support her because her leftist views are not even close to my conservative views. She wants socialized medicine, increased taxes, a weakened military and gun control. These things would not be any more palatable coming from a man. I also do not believe she has the experience to be President. Other than being married to Bill Clinton she has not accomplished a lot in her life. I would consider voting for Condeleeza Rice, not because she is a woman or black bit because she has the experience to do the job and I agree with her politics. I doubt she will ever run. Margaret Thatcher is one of my heroes; I wish she had been American. Thatcher along with Reagan and Mulroney defeated the Soviet Union. It is not discrimination it is politics.
- Simple as not you don't grasp the fact that you only want a woman to hold office and you don't care who it is as long as it is a woman, yet you fail to SEE with your own eyes that maybe those you have spoken of do not live up the the expectations of what the majority want as a leader. I don't want a sucessful perons, I want someone who has good honest intentions for the people as a whole, not someone who looks good, bends to what others want for personal reasons or has the gift of gab.....
- We aren't. But the current candidates (ALL) have serious short comings. Mrs. Clinton among them. I do believe that if Mrs. Clinton (OR) any other candidate were to actually show the American voter a plan on paper rather than talk then perhaps we would have a candidate to take seriously. Remember Ross Perot? He showed us with charts and graphs how things would / could be made better and more efficient. If Mrs Clinton has a plan I have not yet seen it the same goes for all the other wannabes. SHOW me the best plan to improve the problems facing America and that person will earn my vote... IRREGARDLESS of age, race, sex.... I want the person who is dedicated to improving America on these issues. Improve the trade deficit, maintaining a strong military, improving our educational systems, re-instate tariffs on foreign goods, stop illegal immigration, national health care for everyone, re-instate black ops in the war on terrorism, reduce our national debt, improve FEMA, increase employment opportunities in the US, work towards bringing back manufacturing jobs to the U.S... I'll vote for anyone who can hit just 1/2 of the above and show me a well laid out plan to achieve the above.
- It is not an allergy, it is Hillary Clinton may win, but she is regarded by many Americans to be corrupt and not leadership material. What has she led before? She has been a first lady and then ran for Senate outside the state that truly knows her. The one thing that most Americans remember she did lead was the drive by her husband to have Universal Health Care and we see what a debacle that turned out to be. There are women out there who would make great Presidents, Hillary Clinton is just not one of them.
- Of all my reasons for disliking Hillary Clinton, her sex is not on the list. Primarily, I dislike her because she is a socialist. Second, she is sucking up to big business as brazenly as any of the Republicans she so despises. Her trip to Silicon Valley and her promising to expand the H1-B visa program was proof enough to me what a hypocrite she is.
- We should vote for Hillary on the basis of her gender alone? Are you kidding me??? ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- BWAAAAH HAAAAAH you think this is an allergy???lmfao rofl...no i dont think so. its a bonafide response to liilict criminal behavior in a past white house tenure by her and her husband and thank god the american public has some sense despite the outspoken liberal blow hards like nancy pelosi. - The only president ever impeached on grounds of personal malfeasance - Most number of convictions and guilty pleas by friends and associates* - Most number of cabinet officials to come under criminal investigation - Most number of witnesses to flee country or refuse to testify - Most number of witnesses to die suddenly - First president sued for sexual harassment. - First president accused of rape. - First first lady to come under criminal investigation - Largest criminal plea agreement in an illegal campaign contribution case - First president to establish a legal defense fund. - First president to be held in contempt of court - Greatest amount of illegal campaign contributions - Greatest amount of illegal campaign contributions from abroad - First president disbarred from the US Supreme Court and a state court
