Success Happy

What government aided program(s) have been overwhelmingly successful that my tax dollars have paid for?

Certainly not the Department of Education since our educational system is a mess. I can't seem to think of any can you guys help me out? Wait a second I said successful, social security? Gi BIll ? PLEASE Of course senators and congress think congressional pension programs are successful but they don't benefit us! Ron Paul doesn't even participate in those. THIS is great. I will agree - The military - yes. ANything about the military isn't really what i am talking about.

  1. Peace Corps. The GI Bill. Social Security. Public parks. Public universities. Edit: Yes. Those programs worked. How about those universities and parks?
  2. Hey, we are all waiting for THIS answer!
  3. WELFARE
  4. Corporate welfare.
  5. The congressional health care system, senate subway and senate\congressional retirement systems are viewed favorable by members of congress and the senate
  6. Nothing. Not a one. Ever.
  7. Rural elctrification, TVA
  8. the national parks program atleast we have nice parks good ? very true You should send it to your congressman and see what kind of response you get
  9. Not a dag gone thing. The people have been dumbed down so much is the problem. They think they need the gov't for everything. Farmers are what gets me. For years & years they did well without the government. Now the gov't says what to plant where. Or in a lot ocases they pay them to grow nothing. What a mess.f
  10. U.S. Education doctrine is set in Switzerland at a Global Education Institute. To sum up the plan--it's an endoctrination agenda that has nothing to do with intellectual pursuits. Have you heard of the dumming down of America? The Department of Education is a very willing participant in that curriculum. Here's the truth and it's nasty. American citizens have been left behind in the minds of their elected officials. The U.S. politicians see Americans as dumb and vulnerable, ready for exploitation. Most U.S. politicians are globalists who see a future for the North and Central American continents that resembles the European Union with a communist/socialist government. These "elected" officials are pushing for extreme changes in the U.S. regardless of the wishes of the citizens of the United States. Globalism makes strange bed fellows like the Kennedys, Clintons, and Bushes being allied, all on the same side, regardless of how Americans vote. The belong to secret societies and attend meetings where the future of the U.S. is decided without the vote of the people. If you and the people you know and love want the US. to continue as a country, you face some difficult decisions including overthrowing the current powers that are directing your country toward a far different future than you can imagine. There will be no middle class and little freedoms for those who work for a living. The standard of living for Americans will plummet, the American Constituion will no longer be a viable document of freedom. You have to ask yourself is it worth the effort--do you want to fight for what your ancestors fought to give you?
  11. Our military budget, for one. The military gets whatever it wants, no questions asked. No audits, no accountability... carte blanche.
  12. The prosecution of Scooter Libby?
  13. Not one since the telegraph...
  14. I was going to answer this question, but if you're disregarding the GI Bill then you are uninformed with an agenda and have your blinders on too tight for me to give any more time than this
  15. Hmmm, I dont know of any off the cuff unless you want to consider the highways a sucessful venture. These certainly benefitted society as a whole compared to any other program ever implemented by the feds. Alll the rest of the current shcemes used for the redistribution of wealth have ALL failed. Maybe - just maybe - you can shake out the military from the redistribution tree - but I dont consider that a success as we are in all the wrong places for all the wrong reasons.
  16. The Veterans Administration. With all the bad publicity of late, it has done well by me. I've had medical benifits when I was between jobs, bought my first home and ended up an executive pilot because of my VA sponsored Lear Jet flight training.
