To the boys that are 17 and over, have you ever been in love with a 13 year old girl? My 13 year old sister and her boyfriend claim that they're in love. She even told me that he doesn't pressure her to do anything she doesn't want to do and she doesn't think she's going to have sex until she's 18. I've heard many stories of successful relationships between older boys (17 and older) and younger girls (between 13 and 17). Plus, I had a successful relationship with a 17 year boy when I was 13 until he went away for college. So I want to know what are the chances for a 13 year old girl and a 17 year old boy to have a real (true love) relationship? Is it possible at all? If you've been in my sister and her boyfriend's shoes, tell me about it. Was the relationship pleasant or unpleasant?

Tough situation. I'd check the laws in your state regarding statutory rape, though. Pronto. I seriously question the motives of the guy. Think about it... he's in high school with people who can drive. He's about to go off to college. He's got tons more experience in every possible way... I mean, what does he want with her? From my experience, people with that kind of age difference usually don't even hang out as friends. What do your parents say?
I'm 16 and dating a guy who is almost 19. I can tell you that our age difference does not affect us much. However, even with a 2 1/2 year age seperation there are big differences in our lives. I am still in high school, he is out. He is trying to figure out what he wants to do wtih his life, starting to look for a career, and is starting his life as an independent adult. I, on the other hand have no clue what I want to do or be. With a 13 year old and a 17 year old it is going to be worse than that. She is not even in high school and he is getting ready to grauduate soon. She is a child and he is an adult. It is not only illegal for them to date, but it is not going to work. The age difference would not be significant when they are both older but now it is too much. The maturity levels are different and I honestly think its creepy that a 17 year old would even be interested in a 13 year old. he has most likely experience much more then her and will have already been through things she hasnt even thought of. My boyfriend worded this perfectly to me. He explained that when he was my age he was going through what I was going through but now that he is past that stage in his life it is weird for him to go through it all again with me. While you may want your sisters relationship to work, look at the situation. It really cant.
Well I was 18 and I was dating a 14 year old, same age gap, was amazing for 4 years until she became a giant whore. BTW questions like this always bring the morons out, it's not illegal for anyone to "date" at any age, it's the sex thats illegal, and thats for 18 and over geniuses, until the girl reaches the age of consent.
