Can two people in a rebound relationship together have a successful long term committed realtionship?

HER abusive alcholic husband left this past December 15 2005 and one week later she had a man living with her.The new man was already in a 6 month realtionship growing well and slow. He claims he got swept up in the married womans and chidren moment. The kids said I wish you were our Dad.This man is also financially dependent on the woman he is now living with because he is very under employed.By Feb he tells his old girlfriend notto be a stranger. The old girlfriend is invited to his own house during the day when his roomy is at work.He asks if she still misses him. Her answer is yes.They both say they miss the companionship and sex.She continues to see him at his house but roomie's parents live accross the street from him and he becomes afraid of being foundout andgetting the family upset.Him and roomy have no commitments to each other but roomy seems to have a lot of control because its her house and food.She is very jealous of oldgirlfriend and wants no contact between him/her

2. OK first and foremost HONESTY! The man in the situation needs to be a man and be honest with both the women. If they cannot handle it, then it is not meant to be. If he doesn't tell for fear of losing his place to live, then he is using the person he is living with, and should let her go so she can find someone who will make her happy and be honest with her. If you can't be honest with the person you are in a relationship with, then you shouldn't be in it, plain and simple.
3. your question is hard to understand but it sounds to me that neither of them are on the rbound especially if the guy lives with a women he just wants the best of both worlds and so does she and i really feels sorry for the lady that is supporting this sorry excuse for a man why is he not working and contributing then on top of that he is inviting another women in her home while shes gone which is illegal by the way. this guy is such a jerk old girlfriends shouldn't be around and it's not the companship either one of them miss or they would move in together it's just meeting up to have sex in someone house behind her back i don't know how either one of them can sleep at nite especially the man who's probably beside her what a loser!
