Does zodiac compatibility really matter in relationships ?

I am seeing an Aries woman. We really love each other very much.I am a Cancerian, 18 th July. I have many of the typical cancerian traits like sensitiveness, introvert nature etc.But, by effort, have overgrown these things a lot. But am nowhere near the adventurous nature of the Aries. Havent there been successful, lifelong relationships between incompatible signs ? I dont want both of us to get hurt.She doesnt believe in these things at all.What do I do ? Please help.

12. How can you believe that there are only 12 types of people? And that the date of birth determines who best matches you? Think about it. That means that about one person in twenty-four (ignoring same sex people) are a match for you. And if you took any of these people, you'd make a good couple? *doink* I don't know about you but I've dated my zodiac matches and it was a disaster. Better matches were made with the ones I should avoid. Don't be simplistic. Don't dismiss other great people just because they were born under the wrong sign! Look around you. Are your parents "right" for each other? What about other relatives? And your friends? I'll bet you'll find many incompatible signs with great marriages. I don't know how to research it, but I'd bet that you'd find the same divorce rate between compatible and non-compatible zodiac couples.
