What Business Model Has the Highest Rate of Success?

Usually people say that 80% of small businesses fail within the first 5 years. So my question is, what business models have the highest rate of success over 5 years? Is it running a Gas Station? Pizza Store? Office Supply Company? What is the business that is likely to succeed?

  1. Um, its some what confusing what you are asking. But, most businesses fail within their first couple of years because the owner(s) or workers dont do enough to retain the customers. Some things like, um, we only do this..and we dont do that...Or we only sell this and not that....we dont stock those...Or, we dont have the equipment to be doing that...etc tc. This is the main reason why most businesses fail. Not because they were put in the wrong location. I do have to say, that some businesses are placed all the way down in the corner, and nobody looks at them. But, other then that,if there were two places, that sell the same product, and both are next to each other, you better believe that their service and product is impeccable. But, as far as your question, lots of businesses have "good" business models. I cannot say perfect because there is no such thing as a perfect business model. But, you must divide your businesses up. You must compare food restaraunts with food restaraunts, and auto shops with auto shops. You cant just ask which one is the best and expect an answer.
  2. It depends on the person running the business.
  3. office supply (staples) is doing ok and (harliquin) they even selling dirt cheap surplus. pizza franchise is a bit ancient now but if ennployment rlvl goes up not many night time revelers ppl stay home and order pizza if they can afford it. who whants to run a gas station when ppl a sharing a car pool with the raising prices of gas that doent come down again when oil prices do! no your business too helps get experienced staff and make sure they get trained and look after the customers. news travels fast about a good service
