respond to all facebook "happy birthday" wishes?

Facebook told everyone it was my birthday, and I had 20 or so people leave me wall posts wishing me a happy birthday. Should I respond to all of these, especially those from people who I do not talk to and don't have anything to say to?

  1. just write "thanks!!!" and copy and paste it on everybodys wall. that shouldnt take too long
  2. well, i had this same problem a few months ago on my birthday. i just wrote a note saying "thanks for everyone's birthday wishes" blah blah....and tagged all the people that wished me a happy birthday in the note.
  3. Write a note thanking all of them, and mention them all in the note.
  4. The note method has become popular (writing a note to thank everyone, then tagging those who wished you a happy birthday), but some people still reply to everyone. Others don't reply at all. Personally, I wish everyone a happy birthday, because I think it's nice. I also went back and thanked everyone this year. With some people, I just thanked them with a "thank you," but with others, like good friends or people I miss but hadn't talked to recently, I asked how they were, said something funny... Whatever. If you are going to thank some people, I would thank them all (don't leave people out... Even if you don't talk to them, they must not talk to you, but they still wished you a happy birthday! So be nice enough to say thanks!). It really doesn't take much time, and people like a good thank you!
  5. Hey I agree with the three people above my comment write a note then tagged the ones that wished you happy birthday
