- I would give it a hell of a try.
- i could be happy with more $.
- Nope it only buys you what you want happiness you can only dream for that.If you buy love then it isn't real
- yes just go to the store. happiness comes in a can. it will be next to love and good health
- no i do not think so.
- i do
- Nope, you can buy the things YOU THINK will make you happy.
- i don't think so!!
- it buys you more greed. because the more you have, the more you want, the more you want to either save or spend.
- It can by more comfort and other things whcih lead to the state of mind called "happiness."
- This is a matter of opinion. For some, yes all they need is money and they can have fun, be happy, do whatever they like. For others, no they need companionship and love in their lives. It is up to the individual
- It's great to have enough money to not have to worry about how you're going to pay your bills, food etc. but....I don't find that money brings you happiness, with more money comes the needs and wants to have more things. Having more material goods in your life does not make you happy, it just make you happy for that moment you purchase them, happiness truly comes from within you. I think everyone from an early age on should save as much money as they can, because as people age, they need it more since when people retire, they have to live on a limited income. I don't want to be one of those people who has to worry about paying a mortgage, my grocery bill, paying taxes, I want to have enough to live on. A person can get by on say just an average income, you don't have to have alot of money to get by as long as you know how to manage money. But in answer to your question, no, money does not buy happiness all of the time. Just because people like Donald Trump has alot of money seems the answer, is not the answer, he also has alot of stress in his life, that is guaranteed. In order to make that kind of money there is stress that goes along with it. I have a friend, he owns 2 pet stores, he also owns about 7 or 8 houses which he rents out in addition to having his own house, he also owns a Hummer, plus 2 other cars, but....he recently had a massive heart attack. He worked hard all of his life to get to the point where he felt secure, had enough money to feel comfortable, but all that stress took its toll on him recently, he almost died. Now he feels like an old man even though he is not, one minute he tells me he feels like a 20 year old, and the next like a man in his 70s. So....no money does not buy happiness, not in his opinion or mine. He wishes he could get a new heart, 1/3 of his heart was damaged. I believe in working hard for a living, but not to the point where the stress level is so much that it impacts my health just so I can make a ton of money to live on.
- nope happiness is all in the mind & u can't buy a mind
- more money, would mean security, and mean you could be carefree, but i dont think it can buy happiness
- It may not buy me all the happiness I want, but having plenty of money will surely put a smile on my face.
- No it can't, but the more you have the better the rental toys.
- Depending on the individual. My personal opinion is NO, true happiness cannot be bought. What happens to that happiness that money might bring if for some unfortunate reason the money just wasn't there anymore? Will happiness STILL be there??
- In family issues, i don't believe it can. But when it comes down to it, alot of issues and divorces are caused by lack of money. I think that if we all had enough money it would lighten the load but not necessarily make us happy.
- you can buy the mask that covers the true feelings..
- I remember .when I was studying in elementary school one of the subjects of our writting essay was " which one is better ,science or money?".Now I am a mother and I believe that money is better when you spend it for science. Or if you wish I can say MONEY IS BETTER THAN HAPPINESS IF YOU CAN BUY HAPPINES FOR YOURSELF AND OTHERS.
- If you are not happy to begin with money won't change that
- i don't think it could buy true happiness, but if i had the money to pay off a car and my student loans, well i'd be happy about that! true happiness comes from within, how you live your life.
- I don't believe you can either. Money can take away some stress, which will make you a little bit happier, but true happiness comes from your heart, not your wallet.
- money can get you so far with happiness then the greed will set in where you want more money until you are money hungry.
- I think at first it could buy some happiness, but then do material things really make you happy? Money may ease the pain of being poor but if you are not happy with your self, with who you are and find joy in a sunrise, or the sound of children laughing or the way that special person in your life makes you feel when they smile at you for no reason other than they love you, then money will not BUY you happiness.
- not really, has to depend on what kind of happiness you're asking for.
- no it cannt, cuz if it can then i would b the happiest person!!!
- Nope!! If someone is rich and has all the money in the world but no happiness....I'll bet he would trade all that money in for happiness!!! People, say that but In my eyes it's not true, I would rather have a happy life then have nothing happy or cheerful in it.
- my ex thought so
- It depends on what makes you happy. If all the things you need for happiness are buyable, then yes. If not, then no.
- yes
- "Money can't buy happiness but it sure as heck can't hurt"....is what I've always heard. No, it really can't buy happiness - but the reason is that the things that make us happiest aren't material things with a price tag on them. (We see examples of this from stars, celebrities, actors, actresses, and the like.....have more money than they know what to do with and oftentimes end up drugs, alcohol abuse, suicide, etc.. Then when friends are interviewed on TV, they'll say "Well, I knew he/she hadn't been happy in a long time and experienced a real 'bout with depression." Think about the things that make you happiest, and I'll do the same.... I'm happiest when my daughter and other family members have good health, "experience" a lot of things that bring a smile to their faces and warmth to their heart, when I feel a gentle breeze on my face and the day is one of the hottest I've seen, when I see a really gorgeous rainbow, when I see a gorgeous sunset and sunrise, when I see a beautiful snow with some of the biggest flakes I can remember, when my new rose bush has its first bloom, when I cut into a watermelon that's absolutely delicious (and I had worried all the way home from the store that I had picked out a bad one), when I love and feel loved...and the list is endless, but none of it is bought with money. My bills take a chunk of money and I lost my job a few months ago....no I wasn't happy - but I am blessed...because I have a lot more beautiful things around me (nature, loving family/friends)than I do "not so" beautiful. And, in the past when I did have a little left over at the end of the week, I wouldn't spend it on me. I'd always end up buying something for somebody near and dear to me....and that brought me much happiness, too. Great question and I felt great after typing in the answer. So, whether you meant to or not....you were a blessing to me today. Thank you and have a great weekend.
- I would say money won't buy happiness, but it could bring you happiness depending upon how you spend it. If you have enough money for all your needs, you can spend a certain amount of money to those who are really in need and help them without expecting any favours from them. And then you can realise how much happiness it would bring to you.
- No you can't buy happiness with money. When you have money, you want more and more and more. Right there you aren't happy. Also, some people with money lose friends and family which makes them even less happy. So if you have money, you can only buy sadness.
- Well, it could all other factors remaining constant, but imagine if you were sick and everyday you felt pain or low energy. Then you would trade that money for your health back.
- I was told the opposite, that money can NOT buy you happiness. The world we live in today, everyone needs money to survive. You need money for a house, food, and clothes which are the basic necessities. So, I think money can buy you materials, but I don't think money can buy you peace, love, friends, and family.
- Only on ebay, honey. If you give money away, there will be people, even relatives receiving this money, some will not give it back, others only a part of it, it won´t help getting happiness unless you actually know how to obtain it. So the answer is money does not buy happiness, yet after death it can sure buy you some, 500 pence a kilo, it does not satisfy that much though, I remember. The only reasonable thing to advise is get some love, stick with the same person for it, and spend wisely, if you have enough you will be able to help and won´t have to save. Drink a lot too. One last thing, most see things really shiny sometimes and then other times will see things really gloomy. Whonder what that means? evolution can suck sometimes, yet we need the difficulties to make our time worth.
- At this point in my life? YES. My biggest problems are dealing with money, or lack there of.
- money is every thing and we are nothing without it ! So....
- That's a wrong question. A better question would be "All things being equal, would you rather have money or no money?" There are things that money can't buy. But there are certainly things you can buy to make you happy. Don't tell me you wouldn't be happy if you had money to buy a beach house to watch the sunset and see rainbows everyday. You guys are fooling yourselves.
- No not at all! Its the root of all evil!!!
- More money increases happiness and money can buy things associated with happiness but money can't buy happiness itself. Money can buy designer clothes, expensive jewelry, mansions, sporty cars, etc but these things are only associated with happiness. They do not bring happiness themselves. True happiness is being happy with your life, having a positive outlook on life, spending the rest of your life with the person you love, having a family, etc and money can not buy any of those things. Money can sure help with being happy but true happiness can't be bought. There are plenty of millionaires that are lonely, don't have companionship, don't have friends, etc. They have money but not happiness.
- i dont think so but i do think you can buy things that will make you happy
- Well duh you can have anything you want if you have money. If you wanted a new car or a bigger house you could have it wouldn't that make you happy? If you wanted to you buy anything with enough money everything except love and without love you might not be very happy
- You can't buy happiness, but money can alleviate a lot of anxiety that having no money can create, which in turn allows you feel more happy.
- True happiness can not be bought many have tried only to die sad and there money left for people to fight over causing more unhappiness
- i could to me
- Flat out NO!!! Now giving it to others that need it can always bring satisfation.
- Naw. But I'd rather be miserable and rich then just miserable.
- I would sure like to try.
