  1. Not positive, but I'm sure it would be a safe guess if you go with a hamburger, fries and malt. Basic diner food.
  2. Diners like those were made to look like ones very popular in New Jersey, East Coast, and also along Rte. 66. (and Milwaukee which is where Happy Day's was supposed to be set- which that T.V. show was a spin off of the movie American Graffiti). Grease, was set in Southern California- so there is a little different menu and feel to that one. These shows portray a vague idea of the diner scene which were so popular to the youth as hangouts in the 50's and forward. mainly you see them having shakes, burgers, fries- stuff kids will hork down. but diners do a lot more than that... Burgers are a top item, there would be regular dinner items (simple, but good) like maybe meatloaf specials, fried chicken...fries, sandwiches (good deli meats or maybe other stuff you can make on the grill like grilled chz, Rueben's), Club Sandwiches. A lot of diners offer Breakfast all day and then there are the desserts- usually an assortment of simple cream pies, fruit pies, milkshakes to order, sundaes, banana splits. Depends on the style of diner, where it is located as your California diner will be different than the original and old diners of New Jersey and East Coast (from like MD to Mass.). I have been to a ton of diners, I love them, all over the states- I prefer to eat at a diner. My Fav. is Frank's in Asbury Park, NJ. They serve pork roll- not great for the heart in large doses, but pretty good.
  3. Hamburger - .25 cents.
  4. hamburgers and fries.
  5. hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hotdogs, onion rings, french fries, malts, sodas, shakes, pop, coffee, sandwiches, chips, pizza, pie, haven't you ever been to a diner? they serve the same greasy spoon food today as they did back then, most of them do anyways
