- depends on the local paper!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... go to your library to find out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... and happy new year too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...
- you would actually look it up by the county that the license was taken out it. and you would contact the probate court in that county. some of them you can look up online for free. others you would have to go to the courthouse. it is public record so you would have a right to see it but they're not always free(but 99% of the time it is). they do get posted in the newspaper as well. there's usually a section called "vital statistics" or "public records" or something similar. so you can always track it down that way if you at least know around what date it would have been. try going here for louisiana http://www.genwed.com/state/lagen.htm
- I have actually found my old marriage license online! Look up the town clerk's office for that city and you might be surprised at what you find!
