What are your personal expectations for the next 5 years in terms of being able to balance work & "real" life?
The reality of work however is that this balance is often overwhelmingly focused on work, with home-life/recreational-life/family-life taking up a distant second.

- Work seems to be pressing you. You see the target of how you wish things would be in the future and it seems like almost too daunting of a task to meet these expectations. It seems like you need to work 100 hours a week to meet your goals. There is a time for every season. What season are you in? Is your family young? If so, Embrace this time and worry not about the wealth you need to accumulate to facilitate your families future. That is another season. A man who chases wealth will never be rich. Money is elusive, and a man's appetite insatiable. See the wealth around you and wallow in it's warmth. Family is a brief season, embrace it with all your passion. Wealth comes later with your wisdom, It just comes upon you, and you'll never know just quite when it happened. It will just come, and it comes at a time when you respect it the least. Funny thing life. Love yourself and those around you, pride is of such little importance and can be a terrible stumbling block for a man. Try to avoid it best you can. My plan in 5 years? let my wife and daughter embrace their dreams and hope my son and his girlfriend get married and have my grandkids. Watch them and love them and support them all I can whenever I can. Make alot more money I guess, It seems much easier now, people come to me and ask for my services. I am less competent now than I ever have been. Life is funny. Hope I answered your question and best of luck to you and your family.
