What traits/characteristics should you have to be successful at studying anthropology?

1. idk but that's what I want to study too! I don't think you need specific traits or whatever, as long as you are interested in people and their actions.
2. must be able and willing to read a lot. must also be able to sit and write a lot...so much writing, so many papers....
3. 1. Inquisitive - being willing to ask questions (you're doing OK so far!) 2. Open-minded - looking beyond the obvious and exploring the unknown 3. Patience - the answers you seek may not be apparent at first 4. Passionate - a real commitment to the subject matter 5. Adventurous - your field work may require a bit of rough and tumble 6. Literate - you have to understand those that have gone before you i.e. books, journals, publications Good luck!
