- Nah. All that's really important is a good dowry.
- to get to have that certain connection. i mean come on. people are unhappy with arranged marriages. u know y? bcuz they havent dated b4.
- It wasn't for me. I knew he was the one for me. I met him, and I knew. I've seen him in my dreams. Marriage of 1 year!!! http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Ao3CSRgKBQNF9ZiQ6eRYgFbsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20081115004420AA6aIlb
- Its for getting know each other better .
- YES!!! ... we all grow up differently (parental effects) and we make judgements from a childs perspective until it is time for us to handle relationships on our own ... Unless you magically find someone who is absolutely perfect for you, you will have trouble working through small problems like squeezing the toothpaste or toilet seat things ...
- true love, honesty and communication make success in marriage
- it's not. but around these parts, people dont get to know each other properly and there are few chaperoned type situations and people dont really know what to expect any more about marriage. it is a legal contract, but the rules seem to be unknown as how to be a good husband, how to be a good wife, parent, friend, etc. most people think that by watching your parents, you should know how to make a relationship work. but, that's not the case. more effort should be put in by both partners to find out what each other expects out of 'marriage'.
- I don’t believe so
- I think dating is important and helpful in finding the right partner, because with each new person you date you start to learn more about yourself. Not just what you like physically about a person, but for some people they learn about their sexuality through dating different people, they learn what kind of attitudes and common interests they want to have and share with a person. And a major biggy with dating before major it really helps you to determine what your views and beliefs really are. Meaning that say you find a really cute redhead that you are really attracted to, and you both share the love of biking or hiking. But over dinner you find out that she comes from a large family, but she never wants to have children of her own or maybe she doesn't believe in abortion or even in affirmative action. Now based off your own beliefs about these subjects how would feel about dating her some more if you know you have friends that have actually benefited from affirmative action, or that you think that abortion is necessary for women, and even wish to have your own kids one day. See I think with dating that really helps a person think about if they can really handle spending the rest of their life with someone that is so totally opposite from their beliefs but likely perfect in other ways. Hence I believe it takes quite a while to figure out who is actually the right person for you to marry. I know some people jump the gun by marrying quickly, but then look at the divorce stats too and see how long they last.
- It's why? Because two people have to be truely through the connection so actually they can know and understand for the each other...Otherwise if isn't dating .., it doesn't work.
