How would you feel if you got only happy birthday's on your birthday?

You know what I mean. If you have had a boyfriend for a while and his family and of course yours only told you happy birthday, and didn't celebrate it with you at all. No cake, no ice cream, no presents, and no hugs:just Happy birthday over the internet, telephone and texting.

1. Personally, i don't care much about my birthday, it's just another number. but; if i loved my birthday; i would feel betrayed; since their not thinking , nor respecting my feelings.

3. i would not like it. happy birthday is to gather with family give cake, presents, hugs ,kisses songs. it has to go both ways. birthday over internet and in person. it cannot only be 1 way. birthday is to be with people who we love and care about ,and to show that if family or boyfriend and his family treats me like how u wrote on your birthday i would treat them same
4. Well if it's from your companion's side of the family I don;t see why they should give you anything. I mean how do they know for sure you are the "one" for their child, then that'll just be a waist of money on a gift to a " future stranger".

6. i would hate that! i mean if it's in person, that's okay i guess. but texting and on the internet? there's hardly any thought put into those. celebrations are supposed to be about getting together and having fun. gahhh.
7. You are lucky they remembered it and actually bothered to wish you happy birthday. You don't need cake, ice cream and gifts from people to show that they care about you.
