How does a person attract happiness into their lives?

How do you determine when you have true happiness in your life? How do you know when you are truly happy?

  1. Happiness is a state of mind. You tell yourself to be happy and you eventually get there.
  2. you need to go through a living hell first. you need to have some real tough hard times in life. You realy cant experence real happyness if nothing bad happens to you. and the true happiness wil come when you achieve w.e it is that u really want to achieve in life.
  3. You attract happiness by treating people with love and dignity. Many times how you treat people reflects back to you...
  4. Law of Attraction. Google it and buy the book called "The Secret". Be more positive and outgoing.
  5. Happiness is not something you "attract" like metal to a magnet. Happiness is a choice you make. Partly it involves choosing a way of looking at life that is positive, encouraging, empowering. Partly it involves surrounding yourself with happy people (this follows the "birds of a feather flock together" principle). Partly it involves setting positive, specific goals that will include happiness. And Partly it involves being able to visualize yourself as a happy person in the near as well as distant future. All of this assumes you know what you mean by "happy," so you will know it when you see it! Another part is to choose not to permit unhappy thoughts in your mind. (Your mind works on whatever you think, and if you think negative thoughts, your mind will produce negative results...etc.) For that, use the "4-S Method" to control your thoughts and feelings: 1. Stop sign -- When you sense a thought you don't want in your head, in your imagination hold up a huge red stop sign, perhaps being held by a stern-faced crossing guard! 2. Shout it out -- Shout at the thought, scream at it, curse at it, yell at it (all in your mind, of course!) until you can sense that it is leaving your mind. (The nice thing about the mind is that it cannot contain more than a single conscious thought at a time.) Treat it like an intruder in your mind, someone you DO NOT want in there! Get angry at it! 3. Substitute -- Have handy a sentence or thought to put in the place of the unwanted thought. Make it something strong, something positive, something you really want to believe! (Some people carry such positive or self-encouraging thoughts with them, on 3 x 5 cards.) 4. Sustain -- Keep at it. YOU CREATED THE UNWANTED THOUGHT FOR A REASON! ("Psychology of Use" says you think all your thoughts in order to get something from them!) As you kick the unwanted thought out the front door, it will turn around and try to sneak in a window or down the chimney! DON'T LET IT! Keep repeating the four S's until you find yourself to be in charge of the thought you don't want. As you become more comfortable with this, you'll find you are more in control of your whole mind, and also of your feelings. By this time next week you will feel more in control of your unwelcome feelings and thoughts. If not...that's an indication that you get something out of having such thoughts and feelings, and that you do not want to give them up yet...
