Are you happy with your beliefs, and more importantly, do they inspire happiness in others?
We all have our own truths, and for some those truths bring us happiness and for others, not so much... Some of us may at times try to share our beliefs with others... Sometimes this may be imposing. What are your beliefs? Do you feel happy, worried, or indifferent because of them? Also, how are those around you affected by your beliefs? Do your beliefs inspire happiness in others, or do they oppress the happiness of others?

- Omg, this is worse then therapy! I'm not gonna sit at my computer and pour out my feelings!
- I am happy with who I am and what I believe. The true message for repentance is ACTS 2:38. I am striving and if I have my way I will always be happy.
- Yes,i'm content with my beliefs,but i don't "inspire" them on others.
- I truly believe there is not one true belief but rather having any belief in god and how ever you say his name in whatever tongue counts for something. As long as you believe in sharing and helping others you cant go wrong. As long as you believe is respecting others and what they believe in then you cant go wrong. I am truly happy when I serve the lord in my way and I know it rubs off on people and that too makes me happy.
- I'm very happy with my belief, which is simply believing in myself. I do not put anything before me. I don't let anything control what i think. I believe if you want something to happen, don't pray for it, go out and GET it yourself! Almost nothing is better than the feeling of accomplishment that you created yourself. Nothing is greater than knowing love was IN you, not given to by a god. I am an agnostic atheist. I would not try to convert my belief in no god to any religious person (though i do act like it on here, it's usually out of frustration. Not actually trying to get them to believe) But, i do try to inspire people to look outside their religion for a second, and put themselves first. I have no problem when people believe in god. But when they do everything AROUND it, or put it first in every single situation and cannot even think for themselves, thats when i try to get people to start believing in themselves. Those people are usually unhappy, the ones i've met anyway. I'd never, ever try to make them convert. And i would never tell them to simply stop believing in god. But i do try to inspire them to think about themselves and for themselves and their life a little more.
- I thank God that im a SDA. there are alot of funny beliefs out there and i feel happy that im on the right track. The scripture has never been more clear. i think the people around me are effected in a positive way, even though some friends of mine cant undersand me giving up alcohol and smokes. at least no one has to put up with me drunk anymore lol. My brothers are now thinking about religion now and asking questions. Good question and God bless.

- I'm a Christian...and I am happy with who I am but not who I was...the joy of the Lord is my strenght...
- I was raised an agnostic atheist and then had an experience that opened mind to levels beyond the current level of human rationality. I personally believe that there is truth in all religion. I see existence as building towards higher levels, such as what terrence mcKenna states in his novelty theory. First came energy, then matter, and then matter, I cannot do this. I cannot intellectually answer questions while under the spell of alcohol, if I were to have herb it would be different. I can articulate so much better in the state of an herb trance. What I am saying is I do not live for the ego only, if our cells lived for their ego then there would be much cancer. We must see a bigger picture, Carl Jung is my man, but also bill hicks is my idol. Hey, Ill love to talk with you when im in a more enlightened state of mind, now is not that time. Hey, I like your level of thinking tho, you seem to rise above most the ignorant and arrogant questions here
- I am very peaceful at all times of my life bcos I understood the purpose of this life. From where we came and which is our final destination. This life is test for all the humans to recognise and obey the Almighty God. Every moment is a test. Few may be tested by wealth, poverty, health problems, death of the near and dear, loss of property and so many things. U cannot find an individual who is not undergoing this test of this life. Be it George Bush or Bill Gates or a poor man from Ethiopia. So for you this is the test. This is God’s plan for all of us. Same time humans are given a Free-Will to act. He/She can go right or wrong. She/He can do good or bad. This discussion has to be concluded with only one answer (ie) to have “Faith in Unseen”. For a simple reason, “Faith in Unseen” forms the basis of today’s science and electronics. The boundary of the universe is 13 billion light years away from earth. It keeps expanding at the speed of light. One light year is the distance travelled by light in one year. In 1 second light travels 300000Kilo meters. Sun light takes 8 minutes to reach earth from the time of emission. We cant even imagine 1 light year. We can only keep of adding 10 raised to so many powers using our super computers, but cant perceive as a human. Same goes with several “Blind Faiths” in today’s science like Infinity, Photon etc. Meditation is part of the religion. It helps man to control his actions and lead his life with perseverance and patience.
- Bethany: Having beliefs isn't good? Rufus: I think it's better to have ideas. You can change an idea. Changing a belief is trickier. Life should malleable and progressive; working from idea to idea permits that. Beliefs anchor you to certain points and limit growth; new ideas can't generate. Life becomes stagnant. -Dogma _()_
- I find your questions very interesting. My beliefs don't always bring me happiness, but they are true. Sometimes gravity doesn't make me happy, but it's true as well. Sometimes truth trumps happiness. Sometimes believing something that makes you happy, but isn't true, isn't the wisest route. I am one of those people that finds it hard to deny evidence in order to maintain a belief that is fanciful, over the truth the evidence points to. I guess you could say I'm not good at denial. I wish I was, because I think I'd be happier if I could just ignore lots of things.
