How can I obtain a copy of my grandparents marriage records? ?

I'm trying to get a copy of my grandparents marriage certificate. They were married in Italy in 1935. I'm not sure how to go about this. If anyone can help me out on this I'd really appreciate it!

1. If you know the town they were married in, try either the local church or the library. That's who my Mom contacted in Ireland trying to get info on our family.
2. Call local (or not so local) Italian organizations here in the US and ask them what to do. Or call the Italian Embassy here in the US. I had to call the Marin County Office in Illinois, where my father' changed our last name from something no one could spell to something that people could spell, to get a copy of the records (because I was born under our old name so my birth certificate name doesn't match with my real name). But let your fingers do the walking for starters.
