Chemistry... Is it necessary for a successful relationship between you and the person you're dating?
You know... that "spark". Is chemistry necessary between you and that guy that you really like and are attracted to for your relationship? Can the relationship be successful if there's lacking chemistry?

- depends on what kind of relationship you want. i personally think chemistry is VERY important in an exclusive relationship. You have to know the person front and back, and be open to learning more things about them...both good and bad. you can't do that without some sort of connection.
- Chemistry definitly helps...I often get a chemical imbalance in my systems due to my wonderful relationship...the sparks! They fly! Plus to get through the rough parts there's gotta be the extra attraction that keeps your attentions focused on one another and not wandering around to other people when your relationship hits a bump.
- Well love is commitment, but what you're committing to is important. If you value too much excitement, it can wear down the long-term goal of being together. If you truly love this person and can imagine your future happily and solidly together what's the lose. Chemistry is always going to fade but your connection won't. Sometimes there's spark, but it doesn't mean you will last together. I personally think chemistry is important. But then...there's been a lot of guys I had chemistry with but only one I've really taken an interest to...because we have something to base it on: long-term goals, interests, personality, compatible sense of humor etc.
- I'm starting to think that chemistry is the ONLY thing that's important. I mean, if you have chemistry and you treat a girl nice, and you're romantic and thoughful and make her feel special -- she will stick with you. If you don't have chemistry, you can do the same things and she will find it annoying. On the other hand, if you have chemistry, you can treat her bad and be a jerk and she will still love you in spite of it. If you don't have chemistry and you act that way, she will hate you. Well, I don't know if chemistry is the right name for it, but I'm starting to think that there is some inexplicable factor that causes attraction and nothing else particularly matters. Is that what "chemistry" is??
