My friends birthday is next week and weve been friends since we were 9. (were now 24) We had a stupid falling out about a month ago and havent spoken since, do you think i should break the ice and text her happy birthday or even send her a card?

- i would show up with a gift and a hug, say you're sorry about how things went down
- By all means YES!!! If the friendship means that much to you. Send her a birthday card and apologize for your part in the argument. Friends are hard to find and since you guys have that many years, don't be stupid over one argument. Let it go and extend the olive branch, otherwise you will always wonder if it was your fault. If she doesn't respond then let it go.
- I say go for it, You have known this person since childhood. Why not be the bigger person and wish her a happy birthday. Sit her down and talk to her. Good friends are very hard to come by. Life is too short to stay mad at someone.
- i'd suggest saying happy birthday and watching her response. if she acts douchey to you, then oh, well, you did the right thing. if not...well, you have your friend back.
- YES
- Maybe just a call to let them know that you still think about them but you don't really have to get to deep with them if you still feel some resentment or feel awkward. Go with your gut feeling!!!!
- yes, call her and wish her a happy birthday, it'll be the best way to break the ice and say sorry about everything and that you really want her back as your best friend... it's exactly how I did it after not talking to my best friend for over a year!
- I lost a friend for about the same amount of time. On her birthday, I tried to call her but didn't get an answer, so I wound up sending her a text. A few days later, I got a reply to that text that puzzled me, and I called her, and she poured her heart out to me. She said she knew, even after all that happened between us, she could still turn to me in times of trouble. This friendship has been renewed, and is better than ever.
