Can there be happiness without work or suffering?

In this practical life we all live in... I think you need to work in order to be happy. Also, the more you grow as a person the happier you can be (I think). And also, many times you have to suffer to grow. So is there a thing such as happiness without work/suffering/unhappiness? What could heaven possibly be like based on this idea that I am presenting to you?

3. You don't need to be unhappy ever. It's all in your perspective but you wouldn't know real happiness, love or joy without feeling the pains of sadness, loss or discomfort.

5. No matter what happiness you're feeling, it won't mean anything to you without opposition. I agree with you, more or less. Without something to compare your happiness too, you wouldn't even recognize it for what it is. The deeper your suffering, the more arduous your trial, the greater the peace and satisfaction when the trial has passed. You value your happiness more when you know it can be taken away. I think those people who end up in the highest courts of Heaven will be the ones who have learned this principal and have learned the value of hard work in their mortal life. Heaven will perhaps be the reward for the trials suffered on Earth. After enduring the worst that this life has to put us through, we will see Heaven and understand the reward for what it is because we'll have something to compare it to, a true perspective and appreciation.

7. All my life I've gotten by on doing the things I want to do and I have to say I'm pretty happy person. No, I'm not smart, I have an F in Physical Science, but whatever amazing things I do in life will not be based on if I know the proper way to use the metris system or if I know how much density is in a rock. I'll do the things that interest me and if they don't I'll find something else. It's as simple as pie, and when life is so short why worry about not making honors. (=

Without suffering we wouldn't know what happiness is because everything would be the same and there would not be any throw offs, just simply happiness all the time and you wouldn't know the difference. I think the more you come at peace with yourself and the more you learn that you are here to help not destroy or hate or be miserable, but to be happy is when you will truly meet your happiness. I think there is no such thing as happiness without suffering or unhappiness..... They both must exist or you would not have either. I think there is no heaven nor hell..... I think it is a work up of our imaginations.... Alas, if it is true I would say that heaven is the same as earth is.... in fact we have no idea if we are living in hell right now or on Earth or in hell...... it can all just be an illusion and a made up scheme.... you never know.
