What is the proper way to wish someone "Happy birthday"...?
if you don't feel like talking to them at all and it's too late to send a birthday card? Sam da man... the way you end your answer makes me laugh. that person... is my cousin. and frankly, after a few times he really let me down, I don't feel like talking to him at all. yet I'm too coward to even imagine my mom's / aunt's, etc. face after not saying anything on his birthday.

- Text them
- facebook.
- There are some really great "Belated Birthday cards" and that would be perfectly OK to send.
- I dont think any gift is necessary as long as you mean it from the bottom of your heart. Just a hug them.
- If you feel that way you should not wish them a Happy Birthday at all because it would not be sincere.
- If it's too late, then just let it go. Since you don't want to talk with them, a card is an option. But I would say if you don't want to talk to them, don't send a card either.
- yeah like the first pewrson said. just text them. its shows you care atleast. or give them a phonecall.
- just send them a card and a box of chocolates and an apology that its late with a really good bullshit excuse.
- Either send a belated card and make an excuse why you forgot, or text them. If your not up to talking to them, but want to soon, just say that. Doing nothing in uncaring and cold.
- tex them or aim them! you could also leave a message on their cell phone!!! hope i could help
- You sound like you don't really care about that person, why bother to even wish a Happy Birthday if you don't mean it and you just feel like you have to do it. Have you heard of "Belated Birthday Cards"? They even have that for e-cards.
- If you don't feel like talking to them, why should you care you forgot their bday?? There is no proper way.! Forgetting bdays is very common. You are excused !! :))
- Hide in their cupboard dressed as a milkman (holding two bottles of milk) when they come in the room jump out of the cupboard with your hands in the air and scream happy birthday. Give them the milk as a present and before they can say anything declare "I must dash i need to complete my rounds!", sprint from the premisis.
- Call their cell phone, but place the call so it goes direct to voicemail. All you need to do is find the voicemail number for the other person's cellular provider. Usually, it's as easy as replacing the last four digits of their phone number with M-A-I-L. Then you can leave a birthday message. Pain-free, and done.
- Maybe, send them an e-mail, if that person has an e-mail address and you know it, wishing them a happy birthday. Or, maybe, a singing telegram if you don't want to talk to them. Thanks for asking.
- Send the card -it's never too late to do that. You won't need to talk to him, just put a note saying that you're sorry It's arriving late.
- I'm sure Hallmark makes "Belated Birthday" cards. Is there ever an occasion that they DON'T have a card for?
