- I think it is one more piece of the puzzle of a successful life. College can be a screening tool by employers or by society, or it can be somewhere constructive to spend your time while deciding what to do with your life or career. Though a person can certainly be okay without college, it does give you one more edge in life. College can be a lot of fun too. Education accomplishments aren't as big a deal when you are young but the older you get the more skills you need in order to do well. From my perspective now I would say to young people to learn, achieve, definitely have fun, travel, don't be in a hurry to grow up completely. It will all fall into place. If you ever settle down, which isn't a requirement by the way, there is no rush; and don't even consider it until around 30 years old. Don't give in to pressure. You can do well without getting stuck in a rut because of societal pressure.
- University Education is mostly a 'do' these days! Most jobs require at least an Associates degree if not more. Having a degree, I feel that I am more successful/experienced when it comes to applying for a job-those with education will most likely get the job first! Having a degree doesn't mean you will be happier...It just makes things in life easier because you will be able to obtain a better job, better salary/benefits, etc. Having an education isn't a little aspect of life...Have to think long term...
