How do you put on a happy face, when you're hurting SO bad inside?

  4. You just smile and pretend it's all ok. It's not hard, but if you do it often enough it becomes second nature.
  5. you can either be good at faking, or not good. there isnt really a way to change it.
  6. You just do it. It's called acting. I get paid to pretend to be happy, and if I'm not, it could mean losing my job. In the end your question should be, how do I genuinely feel happy? Start excercising and eating healthy. Quit smoking if you do. If these don't help see a doctor.

  8. Smile when you have to, but don't do it for long. Living a lie can cause even more pain and depression. It's time to start looking into the possibility of depression and move toward treating it.
  9. Well when you put on a happy face... it's like your consciousness grows to what you have on physically. It's like mind over matter. You just think positive and it will happen. If you change the way you look at yourself and at others... everything will be fine. Everything will work out. Just know that God wouldn't give you something you couldn't handle
  10. Don't. The only way you can ever get over your problem is to talk about it. Let it out (not to everyone) but talk about to someone so that you can feel better and go on enjoying life.

  15. personally, i prefer dealing with/working through whatever's bothering me, as opposed to just "putting on a happy face"...i think an emotional shutdown in the long run is detrimental. good music always helps in my case. the louder the better, when i'm feeling bad, haha.

  18. We wear so many masks in society. Happy, normal, professional, calm, courteous...only you know who you are and how you feel at any given moment. And that is the most important thing. It is less important how people see you as how you feel and how you stop the hurting.
  19. try to think of things that made you happy simple things and do them and seek friends out who make you laugh, not the ones who let you talk and think to much avoid alchol it will only put you more on a downer. Remember Smile and the world smiles with you cry and you cry alone. take care
