What are some big success the Democratic had in history?

1. Democratic party or President? Democratic party- they elected JFK for starters. Democratic President- Bill Clinton made the American economy the strongest in the world.
2. Hmm... One of the biggest things would be FDR's New Deal policies which severely helped reduce the effects of the Great Depression. These policies are highly liberal; in government, FDR is known to have revolutionized the responsibilities of the presidency. Kennedy fought against Soviet intimidation tactics and prevented World War III (Cuban Missile Crisis) without compromising US ideals. ALthough the Bay of Pigs invasion was a complete failure, he didn't back down when the USSR threatened war. (In fact, during the Cuban Missile Crisis was the closest the world ever got to WWIII but it was prevented by US & USSR diplomacy.) LBJ fought against poverty (with his "Great Society") and racial discrimination. He ended segregation with the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Although his reputation is tainted with the blood of the Vietnam War, think about how life would be if segregation and disenfranchisement and discrimination based on race/religion still existed.
