Olympics in 2012 is a success or a big nono?

Who thinks that (london is it?)is going to have a better opening ceremony that in beijing.I dont think so because 1st.because they already had previous chances and still didnt turn out as great as beijing which is their first try at the olympics, and whats so good about london anyways ,its not like they made any inventions that changed the world right? Whats your opinion?

1. Not sure if it is going to be a better opening ceremony. It may or may not. The Chinese felt obligated to show the best of them to the world. The reality in their country is very different, but they wanted to show us their best face. In the other hand, Great Britain has nothing to prove as everybody knows they are an important power in the world. Yes, Great Britain had previous chances, but there was no way to do such a great ceremony in 1908 or 1948. They did make an invention that changed the world: Football!... I guess that theme may be part of the ceremony.
2. London will so not have a better opening ceremony than Beijing.
3. Give the UK a chance. It is kind of like seeing a high score in gymnastics. That should not stop others from competing. It just lets them know where the bar is set. We will have to see what level of difficulty the Brits attempt and what score the world gives them on the execution. And as in gymnastics there will be those who think one or the other was rated too high or too low. But either way it should be a good show.
4. I don't know if they do a better job then Beijing Olympic or Paralympic opening. China has the most people in the world.
5. A big no no....London 2012 will just fizzle out..... no ambition, no confidence, no surprises, no effort, no money, no desire.....
6. is so sad a country on war to host the Olympics, where is the Olympic spirit people ?........ is not about money and show ..... 5m orphans in iraq what the hell is going on ? and people talking about the opening ceremony.....i say NO NO NO London will lose a lot of the freedom that left (and not match left) and according to the rules NO country on war can host the Olympics: till now only: USSR-USA- and soon UK are the countries to host the games when they are at war and that is a fact
