Approximately how much does a lender pay to 3rdy party loan modification co. for successful modified loans?

What is the standard fee charged to the lender by a 3rd party loan modification company? If the 3rd party loan modification company does not charge the consumer then they must get paid by the lender...so approximately how much do they receive for their services or for each successful loan modified?

1. I don't think they do. If the borower is seeking the help of one of these company's (be careful) then they must pay the fees on their own
2. Lenders do not pay. A modification is a volutary action on the banks part. 3rd parties can negotiate and often with much better results. They never pay a 3rd party to renegotiate the terms of a mortgage.
