UK: Would the world be a better place, if we worked to a 8 day week?

I sometimes resent working 6 days a week. Then only having one day of at the weekend. If we had 8 days, then everyone could earn a good living and have a decent break. Please don't say be thank-full you have a job. working ppl are exploited enough as it it. What's wrong with a good work/life balance?

1. I think jobs should be better pay and everyone should get -fri -sat -sun -mon off and just work tues weds n thurs. : ) ha x
2. i already work a nine day week,so the day off would be cool!
3. Nothing wrong with a good work/life balance at all. I think Britain is notorious throughout Europe as working the longest hours. Perhaps we should be encouraging people who work to live to spend more time with their families
4. theres only 7 days in a week.
5. this may not be the answer but for instance the people who farm for a living really never get a day off if you think about ,they always have someting that s got to be done and things happen almost daily that you didnt expect that they have to take care of
