Pre-med student in need of help! How to manage my time? HELP?
I am a rising sophomore at one of the most competitive schools in the nation, and I hope to go to medical school in the future. I sort of lost focus in the second semester of my freshman year. I fell for a girl who wasn't that into me, could not concentrate as well as I did in the first semester, and had a terrible roommate situation, and so on. Next semester, I will resist all sorts of temptation and just focus on my work. I will put social life aside. I plan on doing many things: studying my butt off, getting involved in an undergrad research project, being a TA for general chem, becoming a member of this student organization called Community Health Advocacy Program, and working out, which is like my only way of dealing with stress. These are things I want to and must do. However, I am not so sure if i am capable of balancing out my time for all of those activities. The life of a pre-med is indeed tough. Please give me some tips on how to distribute/manage my time.

- youneed to sleep atleat 8 hours to relieve stress and then do ur work only to a certain extent and then study for the rest of the time do give a bit of time for recreation like playing and pther stuff whatever interests uyou the most
- Anyone who has been to school can understand the trouble you have been having. One of the things that I have done to try to organize myself is getting a planner. This can be a calendar or a notebook. I carry it everywhere and when I have a project or if a friend asks if I can do something I write it down. Look at your class schedule for the next semester and plot time to do the things that you have to do (study, work out, ect.) and then if there are other activities you want to do see if they fit in the schedule. Also while devoting yourself exclusively to your studies is admirable it is not entirely practical. You will eventually suffer a burn-out and that would be a bad blow for you. Although it's difficult try to make time to relax and hang out with your friends. This will also help with the stress that comes from such a tough schedule. If you start to feel that you need help with the topics you are discussing in class, ask about tutors or study groups and make friends with the other people in your class. I'm sure that you will find another person in class that would like to have a study partner and there are probably classmates that wouldn't mind burning off steam at the gym. I hope this helps a bit and you should get a planner of some sort. Good luck with pre-med!
