Is Bible just an ancient health book?

ive been trying to figure out religion. Their stories doesn't really make sense in reality and i have realized ancient times doesn't yet created SCIENCE as a means of telling the truth. They expressed it by the ART of story telling. Jesus = Instinct, subconsciousness (Controls our Body) Holy spirit = consciousness, chosen thoughts (Controls our Mind) Jesus has 12 disciples which translates that our Subconscious has 12 sub-levels God = the force of energy that drives Jesus and Holy Spirit to Live Devil = the force of energy that drive Jesus and Holy spirit to Death. We have both of energies (Ying and Yang) we can't survive without the other. They both coexist in all of us. - Balance of nature Life cycle has one direction which is from Birth(God) to Death(Devil) unless you got a hold on God you'll be able to slow the rate of the cycle or even stop the ageing process. New testament as the coming of Jesus Christ - the time when people found subconsciousness exists in the mind. "you can find God through Jesus Christ" This is just one of my ideas, which can be applicable to all religions if you given this a thought. The so called Holy book is just a Book about living. which what we have now as psychology, medicine, etc.

  1. Well they say the Bible IS a metaphor......
  2. Christians have always known that the Bible is the 'Owner's Manual for life', but you are not quite on target. Do a little more searching. FYI: it's 'yin and yang', not 'ying'.
  3. The bible is a fairy tale. It's like believing in Santa Clause, Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy. None of them can be proven.
  4. That's a very interesting perspective. However you should examine your own statements: How solid is your information that we have "12 subconscious levels" and if so how does this relate to people who stood next to each other? Is God really a force driving life? Order vs. Disorder may be more appropriate. Is the Bible the reason why its ancient followers survived and thrived, as you would expect from a "health book" that would be so highly regarded? It seems obvious that religion extends far beyond health, although it clearly fulfills psychological needs of its own: the need for purpose, the need for order and control over one's inevitable death, and even the need for adversity. Whether it is symbolic, random, or truth has no effect on this role.
  5. Yes, and not a very good one. Forget human made religions and pray directly to the Spirit we call God, any time, any where, 24 hours a day. And it's free! Forget all the fairytales about different religious leaders of the past. They are all dead. Praying to a dead man will get you nowhere. Praying to the Spirit will.
  6. The Bible is a collection of ancient manuscripts. Some deal with history, some with myth, some with rules, some with poetry, all with religion. You can find truths and falsehoods in the Bible. You can find sustenance to carry your through hard times. If you have spiritual experiences, you can find the deeper levels of meaning that escape other readers. You can interpret the Bible literally, which causes certain problems in logic, or you can interpret it metaphorically--with care. What you get out of the Bible, is what you, personally, get out of it. Some people have used it as a weapon to promote their own agenda; others have used it as a balm and a guide in their life's journey. The Bible contains some good advice, such as following the Golden Rule, thinking positively, acting generously. I find it also tells us about the animating force that is found in all religions and kundalini yoga. I encourage you to keep questioning and thinking. You will find the answers that resonate with you, though it may take many years. Listen to what others say, but ask your own questions and do your own thinking. Good luck.
