What is "Job Running" when done at work?
I'm looking at some job adverts for in the engineering industry and it comes in a context like this: "The successful candidate will have experience of job running and working on a variety of schemes"

- Sounds like maybe you'll need to travel from location to location to work on a variety of tasks. Basically, well rounded experience and willing to travel.
- Means you must be adaptable and may get sent to a breakdown that you may have to deal with not knowing what the problem is until you see it. Most engineers don't know what the problems are when something breaks down until they actually take the thing apart and you may find yourself working on your own. This description is often used by employers when they need someone urgently they wll expect you to start the job straight away so will be looking for someone with experience that can start the job with no supervision.
