2 real estate agents- one experienced but busy, one not either- Which one to choose?

I have two real estate agents I am considering using. One is experienced, very successful, and highly recommended- possibly one of the best ones in my area based on what I've heard. Because of this, he has about 20 homes on the market, all but one of them priced above mine- a number of them in the multi-millions, while I'm looking more like $140k. I just worry he won't try hard to sell mine (small commissions), and that he has a pretty full plate. The other agent is younger, has only been doing it for about a year. He has 0 homes he's selling right now, but he helped a friend of mine fine a house and my friend was very pleased with how hard he worked to find the perfect home. he is clearly not as experienced, but seems like he will really devote all his time to making our home sell. They are both part of the same real estate agency. What do you think?

  1. This is business, use the experienced one.
  2. I would go for the younger guy. He isn't busy, so he has more time to sale your house. The first guys seems like too busy to spend time to help you, have an agent available for you when you have a question is very important if you are first time seller. Besides, I have experienced that some experienced agents use junior agent to help out with listings.
  3. Go for the younger, hungry one.
  4. Hi I am a Realtor for 7 years. Basically it DOES NOT MATTER how long someone has been doing real estate. If your friend highly recommended this realtor to you then I believe you should go with that realtor. Just because someone has been doing real estate for a longer period of time doesnt mean anything. Actually the agent that is newer to the business will probably only focus on your property listing. While the more experienced agent will not work as hard on selling your home because he or she has other properties to market. I would truly go with the realtor who was recommended by your friend. The agent clearly went above and beyond to assist your friend and will most likely do the same for you. I bet you will have alot more trouble getting ahold of the agent who is super busy. The one who does not have alot of houses to sell will always be available to you and to anyone that wants to see your home. I wish you luck!
