Which farming magazine is better?

Progressive Farmer or Successful Farming magazine - which is better? Our son-in-law owns a 100 acre farm and has asked for a subscription to a farming magazine.

1. Neither, they're both boring as hell.
2. Its a personal choice, like which is better a Ford or a Chevy, or a John Deere or Case tractor. I like Successful Farmer myself, but it not really much better or worse than the Progressive Farmer. Let him tryout a couple issues of each and he can make up his own mind which to subscribe to.
3. Progressive Farmer in my opinion is alot better. They provide extensive amounts of information, and lots of tips.
4. i always liked Progressive Farmer and Southern Farmer.

Progressive Farmer Is going to go more into detail on ag issues and has a lot more stories, but successful farmer is more about breaking down the story, the thing i like bout' successful farming magazines is that it has a section in the back of the magazine where they print up random helpful ideas that other farmers have come up with to help you out on the farm to make life a little easier. personally i like them both, we farm around 3,500 acres in illinois and we recieve progressive and successful farming magazines along with about 10 other farming magazines. We get free subscriptions to both of them.
