Success Happy

What does it mean when some days you are very happy and other days you are very mad?

Is this normal? That some days I'm cheerful and happy because I dont think about the bad things and other days I'm very quiet and angry because something has just happened to annoy me... Are these moodswings? Am I bipolar? I'm 13. PLEASE tell me what you think! I'm really scared that I'm bipolar or something.

  1. It's all part of growing up, I feel like that a lot.
  2. If you want to be bipolar you will be. If you don't want to be bipolar you won't be. listen to what you said "i am cheerful and happy because i don't think about the bad things" and on other days you find something that annoys you. You're happy wben you're focused on the good, and mad when you're focused on the bad. That's the way it is for everyone. Don't EVER ask if you're bipolar again. It's really bad for you to even get that crap in your head.
  3. Of course your not bipolar, your 13 your hormones are just going crazy at this age, it's no problem. Your absolutely normal
  4. You are normal from what you described. Bipolar disorder is extreme mood swings. I work with children who have it and not anything that you described sounds like bipolar disorder.
  5. I can see you are as normal as anyone else. All of us have the same mood swings. We always have 2 choices to make everyday. Be happy or be sad. So it boils down entirely unto ourselves which we want to choose. If you choose to be happy then you always want to choose those things which make you happy and let those things which may make you sad wait in the queue. So for sadness. The advice is always try to choose happiness as the way of life and keep the sadnesses in the waiting queue. It is not that easy but worth trying.
  6. Mood swings are common at your age, it is just you growing up and exploring your emotions. I know it feels weird to feel different day to day, but as you age your mood will become more stable. These are your hardest days "emotionally" a lot of teens even up to 18 have trouble grasping their personalities. It's scary, but you may have to put up with 5-7 years of mental unrest. If you have very powerful manic episodes followed by very depressing thoughts and it interferes with your life on a daily basis you may be bipolar, but that does not sound like the case.
  7. It could be that your bipolar, or it could just be that your 13 years old and your going through moodswings. I was like that when I was that age, but I'm still that way today. I'd talk to your parents about it if it's really concerning you.
  8. I'd say this is normal at any age, not bipolar at all. Sometimes things just piss us off! It's okay! Just make sure it doesn't happen too much, and the things that make you angry aren't some little thing that you could more easily shrug off.
