What are the characteristics of angiosperms that make them successful?

Need to know for bio exam tomorrow. Any help? Angiosperms in trees, why are they so successful?

1. They have fruit to protect their seeds. This fruit is also appealing to some animals because of its nutrition and taste. When the animals eats the fruit, it also consumes the seed. The animal may travel long distances before the seed exits the animal's system. This lets the species of angiosperm spread and thrive.
