Success Happy

How to keep a crawling 13mth old happy and safe for 2hrs whilst at work with me?

I am getting some extra work helping out a friend do end of lease cleans...Meaning i want bubs off the floor (dont want him putting anything nasty in his mouth)... he is quite active, and he hates the playpen... i am wondering for ideas to keep him safe and happy while i work. I will be there but not able to play with him... does anyone else do this and what tips advice do u have for making it work?

  1. This is right up my alley! I take my 12mnth old daughter to work at a stable 3 days a week, from 9 - 5 ! Okay, so she has a walker that I keep there, I work in the sort of reception area, and help out around too, but when I'm at the desk, there is a small room behind me where I keep her walker, it's a simple walker with a play table, so she can walk around. She also has a jumping joey/jolly jumper that I put her in and she would bounce around in that for hours! I also keep things simple. I have some containers and blocks, and she puts the blocks in, and colour codes them sometimes, and then tips them out then makes small piles and bunches etc. Unfortunately, I can't bring a small musical instrument toy to work, but If I could I would. Just a small play xylophone, she would LOVE! She also does bowling with a soft ball and some soft blocks (minimal noise) haha and she just pushes them over. She also sleeps for a fair while, and if I'm leaving the office, I take her with me and let her go for a little "run" with my assistance or basically me making her run-ish, on the grass. Hope this helped!
  2. Well is there a bouncy swing you can put in the doorway for him to bounce in? You could put him in footsie pajamas or put shoes and socks on him. a swing might work and if possible take him about half an hour before nap time so he'll sleep some. That probably wasn't much help but it was all I could think of. Good luck!
