How can I be happy in heaven if my father is burning in hell because he is an atheist?

And my 2 brothers and mother? How could heaven be a happy place for me? Because it wouldn't be without them there.

When you go to heaven, there is no pain like you experience here on earth. It's hard to imagine, but somehow God makes it work.

well to me this is a no brainer. You need to pray harvesters across their paths and that God will reach them before they die. Or you could just give up and go with them? You are acting like you do not have a clue about what to do. Pray and believe till they come to know the Lord Jesus Christ. Don't give up on a miracle. Either you trust God to bring them or you do not. which is it?

If you make it into heaven.. You won't even remember them! Just alway's remember that is was there choice or not to serve the Lord and they choose not to.. So that's there fault. Hope I helped..

Hello, Nobody can say where your brothers and mother went except God but once in heaven, your attraction to Him will be so intense you will have no feelings of sadness for those in this life as you are living in shear bliss supposedly. Cheers, Michael Kelly
If HELL is a real place you'll be there for being so judgemental and putting an imaginary friend before them.
Jesus told the sinner who was hanging dying with him that he would be in paradise with him. It is not known who will be brought back to life and who will not but it is up to God and I believe the "meek shall inherit the earth." It is only a small few who go to heaven. I have an earthly hope and I look forward to seeing my dead relatives brought back to life, some of whom did not believe in God.
If you are siding with a religion that is going to send the rest of your (good?) family to hell, you might want to rethink things. As I'm fond of saying, condemning people for not believing in Jesus is like condemning people for like butter pecan ice cream. It's just stupid. Did you know that they ability to have "faith" is at least partially genetic? What kind of good God sends people to be tortured for eternity for something that they weren't genetically pre-disposed for. Again, it's like sending someone to prison for having blonde hair. No one can tell you what to believe, but you might want to try having an open mind.
Because in heaven all of your quirks and desires that make you human are gone, so you can be perfect. And then you are not really you, so you don't really care about your family anymore, or anything else for that matter because you are in heaven with god an that is like the best thing ever so you couldn't want anything else. And then you get to go on in this inert state for infinity. It's great
Really? How pathetic are these people? "who said you're going to heaven?" If you know Jesus Christ & a good person then you know you're going to heaven. You know what Jesus done for you. People make their own decisions, God lets you choose if you're goin to heaven or hell, God gives you more than second chances. I know what you mean, I worry about my family all the time. Atheists only know of Jesus from Christians but, they don't know him like we know him. They have never felt that spiritual connection with him. God lets you be who you be, he lets the Atheists be themselves, they always say "If God is real why hasn't he saved me?" That's because they don't believe. you should be happy you're rid of the people who loved you just because they believed differently than you and god doesn't want them in his special club. if it makes you feel better, pray yourself silly and maybe god won't be so selfish and let your relatives in his club.
Good question. If "God is love" (1 John 4:8), then burning the majority of humanity in literal fire forever seems like an odd action, doesn't it? It IS an odd action...and further, is not taught in the scriptures. This is what "fire" does: 1 Corinthians 3:15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but HE HIMSELF SHALL BE SAVED; yet so as BY FIRE. "Hell" is one of the most misunderstood, and scripturally unsupportable doctrines taught within Christianity--and I say this as a Christian. Not one of the original words translated (poorly) into the English word "hell" means a place of fire where people are tortured without end. Not one. Want to know what "hell" is really about? Its not what most Christian teach. First, in response to the answer that "claims" to know what Hell is about- you're right, it has nothing to do with fire. We say it is about torment, because it is eternal separation from the One who loved you more than anyone else, and when you die without accepting that fact, and then you realize it is too late- just think about how that would make you feel. Okay, continuing on... 1. God guarantees us that Heaven will be a place where there will be no more pain, sorrow, or suffering because you will be with God and He is love. 2. God did not intend Hell for people- it was originally meant for Satan and his followers, but if a person rejects Christ (who bridges the gap between us and God) then that person has rejected the fact that they need God and that they can do nothing without him and have chosen to be one of Satan's followers instead (God doesn't send anyone anywhere- you either choose to love him or hate him). Thus, it actually makes Him sad that we deliberately choose Hell instead of Him 3. So, knowing that, if you're sad and God is sad too, I believe that God would be a source of comfort for you when you get there... I hope this answers your question. Do not worry with your human rights abuse denying them the right to believe and worship as they wish in peace and freedom you are denying yourself any chance of getting to heaven!!! But you do make a wonderful recruiting sergeant for atheism!!
Ok, sometimes you have to take a step back in things. With your question, ask yourself this: Why would Hitler look like a Saint next to a God who is in the torture business forever, hell? God is pure love, don't forget this because the Church will. If God is pure love then God loves and loved your atheist father. Remember, light shines in darkness and Gods pure love always shines but man takes the shine away. Hell was created for control and fear, and man made God into a human like character. You need a good and evil God to control people's God. Today, is the Babyalonian system that is completely man made. You anger should sieze once you know God is pure love and loves and loved your father. Let the rest argue among themselves whos anger will never be seized and constant nashing of the teeth, because they are dead without a conscience and this is their problem that they want to enforce on you. God is pure love, don't forget this. Don't let the war without, become the war within that overtakes you. God is pure love, to know God is to fall in love with God.
Simple. Disbelieve the existence of Hell. My mother is a priest, and she does not believe in Hell. This is a perfectly viable position to hold. If you believe that God loves everyone, regardless of if they love him or not, then you will have a much better time with your belief. Even if no one at your church will agree with you, it is fine not to agree with them. Religion (a fact made obvious by the many different ones that exist) does not come in only one form, and you are perfectly free to choose your form of religion at any time.
Don't worry. There is no hell. No afterlife. Just love your family, cuz time on earth is precious. its all we got.
